Post-market monitoring of the safety of medicines and vaccines contributes to a better understanding of their possible adverse effects, when they are used outside the controlled conditions of clinical trials. Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy has developed a secure portal for all patients to report adverse events relative to medications and devices. The data collected is used to analyze and identify previously unrecognized safety problems, an increased frequency or severity of adverse events, or patient groups that are particularly sensitive to adverse events.
